| That's Naomi Barker and Sally Swiss. Naomi is a great friend and an awesome painter from the UK. To the right is a picture of Naomi in front of one of her paintings at an art opening. |
| This is Alex. He is Tom Helton's student. Each week he learns a new tune and plays it at the jam. This week he learned "Freddie the Freeloader". |
| I lost a good friend last week. Jay Berg passed away at 81 years old last week. He was a great trumpeter who played with Charlie Parker and was the father of Shelly Berg who was my teacher who turned me on to jazz and helped give me a big start in my career playing this music. |
| Sally has two of Naomi's paintings and they are awesome. |
